Meet our photographers

Carolyn DeBerard had a passion for photography at the early age of 12.  Her Jr. High school band Director, John Barone, of JB Photography introduced her to the photography world and she was hooked.  She was invited to be his Jr. Assistant at various wedding venues during the summer months.

 

She saved her hard earned money and purchased her first SLR camera on her own as an 8th grade graduation present to herself.

 

Carolyn graduated from the University of Illinois @ Chicago Circle with a BA in Photo/Film/Video and Animation.  She continued to assist John while picking up some of her own gigs too!

 

She moved to California shortly after graduating college where she shifted her focus from wedding photography to nature photography,

 

After a break to raise her family of 2 boys and a girl, all under 4 yrs old, Carolyn picked up photography again while working for a camera accessory company.  While there, she has had the opportunity to shoot more studio product shots and lifestyle shots for the company’s website and print materials adding to her repertoire.  

 

As she moves forward, she has found working with students to be quite rewarding for their unique style and creativity they bring to each photo shoot.
